# Inspired By

The Inspired By feature lets coin creators give credit to the original creator or post on X that inspired a meme coin, while giving the original creator control over whether they want to be associated with the coin.

When someone is tagged as the inspiration for a coin, they can review the attribution and choose one of two actions:

## Acknowledge

By acknowledging the attribution, the creator claims their association with the coin and unlocks fee-sharing rewards:

* **Checkmark Verification:** A verification checkmark appears next to their name on the coin's page. If the tagged person has not yet acknowledged, their name is displayed without the checkmark.
* **Trading Fee Share:** From that point onwards after the user acknowledges the coin, they receive **50% of the trading fees** that would otherwise go entirely to the coin developer, turning attribution into a real economic reward.

> 🔒 **Wallet & Privacy Separation** To prevent doxxing and protect user privacy, the platform separates identity-linked actions from trading activities:
>
> * **Rewards Wallet:** A separate add-on wallet (powered by Privy) that is publicly linked to the user's X (Twitter) profile. The 50% fee share is sent here.
> * **Primary Solana Wallet:** A separate wallet (powered by Privy) that is *not* publicly linked to the user's X account. All other platform actions, such as coin creation and trading, happen through this primary wallet.

> This separation ensures that acknowledging a coin does not expose the user's general trading history or other coins they launch.

## Remove Name

If they do not want to be associated with the coin, they can remove their name from the Inspired By section.

This gives the original creator control over their identity and avoids forcing unwanted association with a meme coin.

Even after acknowledging, the inspired creator can remove their name later. If they feel uncomfortable, receive unwanted attention, or do not want to remain linked to the coin, they can opt out at any time. Once removed, their name disappears and future fee sharing stops.

Inspired By is designed to make meme coin creation more respectful by giving creators credit, upside, and the right to opt out.
